Treatment

The Weill Cornell Medicine Center for Trauma and Addiction faculty and clinical staff address PTSD and related issues using a three phase approach of stabilization, traumatic memory processing, and reintegration. The Center’s primary treatment modality is EMDR, an evidence based therapeutic intervention with a very high success rate.

​After undergoing a one session psychiatric evaluation, each client is assigned to a trauma trained psychotherapist with a minimum of 10 years experience.  Treatment is tailored to the individual; services are available virtually or in person, based on the clients’ needs.
