After undergoing a one session psychiatric evaluation, each client is assigned to a trauma trained psychotherapist with a minimum of 10 years experience. Treatment is tailored to the individual; services are available virtually or in person, based on the clients’ needs.
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a psychotherapy modality that enables people to heal from the symptoms and emotional distress that are the result of disturbing life experiences. Numerous studies demonstrate EMDR’s accelerated resolution of trauma relative to other treatment modalities.
Listen to our Program Director, Gerard Ilaria, LCSW about treating PTSD with EMDR.
EEG Neurofeedback is a type of biofeedback that uses real-time displays of brain activity—most commonly electroencephalography (EEG)—in an attempt to teach self-regulation of brain function, quieting a client’s overactive nervous system.
People with trauma often use substances to calm their overactive nervous systems, which can lead to misuse. We utilize harm reduction, motivational interviewing, and EMDR to get to the root of the problem and reduce or eliminate problematic substance use.
